We supply ISPM15-marked pallets for goods leaving Great Britain, in the footprint, grade and quantity your route needs. Export brings one extra requirement into the specification: a legible plant-health mark.
What export pallets are, and what marking means
GOV.UK guidance on wood packaging material states that businesses using, producing or supplying wood packaging to move goods between Great Britain and other countries, including EU member states, must follow ISPM15 rules. Solid wood packaging includes pallets. Processed non-solid wood such as plywood sits outside those wood packaging rules.
Export requirements depend on destination: the mark attaches to the route the goods take, not to the pallet's footprint, construction, grade or condition. A legible mark is the certification GOV.UK requires — supplier paperwork cannot substitute for it where a mark is required.

What to confirm before export
Check the route and any transit countries, confirm the plant-health requirement for your specific destination, and keep marked and unmarked stock stored apart so marked pallets aren't casually used on domestic moves. Where treated wood packaging is required, compliant stock is marked separately and that marking is confirmed against the physical pallets when we quote. Illustrations on this page carry no marks and are not evidence of treatment.
Confirm before booking
- Photographs of the mark on each pallet type in the export flow.
- The route the consignment takes, and any transit countries.
- Provenance: where each pallet came from and when.
- Confirmation that no pooled operator stock is in the export flow.
- The plant-health requirement for your specific destination.
- Quantity and delivery timing.

What the load figures mean
- Tare weight
- The mass of the empty pallet itself, before anything is put on it. It matters for vehicle payload, air freight and weighbridge figures, not for how much the pallet can carry.
- Static load
- The maximum load the pallet is rated to hold while standing still on a solid, level surface — the pallet fully supported underneath.
- Dynamic load
- The maximum load the pallet is rated to carry while it is being handled or moved, for example on forks or a pallet truck.
- Racking load
- The maximum load the pallet is rated to hold while supported only at its edges or on beams. It often differs from static and dynamic capacity and applies only in the exact rack or support configuration stated by the manufacturer.
Ratings depend on the exact construction, how the load is distributed, how the pallet is supported, its condition and the manufacturer. A rating can never be inferred from footprint alone: two 1200 × 800 mm pallets can behave completely differently. Figures below are the named manufacturer's or standard's own published values for that exact model, reproduced for reference.
Confirm before we can quote a load figure
- Tare weight limit, where vehicle payload or air freight is tight.
- Whether you need a static, dynamic or racking figure — they are different numbers.
- Evenly distributed load or point load, and the footprint of the load on the deck.
- Support configuration: floor, beams, edge-supported racking, automation or conveyor.
- Condition required — new, repaired or used — and how many trips it must survive.
- Quantity, whether it repeats, and the delivery timing you need.
