Topics

Guidance by topic

Practical guidance grouped by the decisions our customers actually face.

Export & packaging compliance

ISPM15 and IPPC marking, GB-to-EU movements, and how UK and EU packaging obligations sit alongside plant-health rules.

Solid wood packaging moving between Great Britain and the EU generally needs ISPM15 treatment and marking in both directions — the requirement is not limited to destinations outside the EU. Packaging waste regulation is a separate obligation and is treated separately here.

Unwanted, surplus & pooled pallets

What to do with accumulated stock, how surplus value is assessed, how pooled and branded pallets must be handled, and the fire and safety risk of yard storage.

Grades, sizes & procurement

Pallet sizes and dimensions, grading terminology, construction types, matching a specification to the load, and how to specify pallets inside a procurement process.

Reuse, recovery & reporting

The waste hierarchy applied to pallets, repair versus recycling, what can and cannot be evidenced in sustainability reporting, and how service records should be structured.
