Services

Recovery keeps pallets working for longer

Most pallets leaving a site still have service life in them. We grade each one, repair what can be repaired, and put serviceable stock back into circulation.

How recovery works

Every pallet is graded before it is repaired, sold or scrapped

A pallet arriving on a collection vehicle is checked and classified first. Getting that right determines both the cost and how much stock returns to use.

  • Structural check

Bearers, stringers or blocks are inspected first — structural damage is the usual reason a pallet cannot return to service.

  • Deck condition

Missing, split or badly worn boards are assessed for straightforward board replacement.

  • Contamination

Staining, chemical residue, mould or odour rules a pallet out of reuse regardless of structure.

  • Fixings and safety

Protruding nails, loose plates and sharp edges are dealt with before any pallet is graded as usable.

  • Repair

Board and block replacement, using reclaimed components from pallets that are genuinely finished.

  • Regrade

Repaired pallets are graded to the same standard as any other supplied stock.

Why it matters commercially

Reuse saves you a disposal cost and a replacement purchase

A recovered pallet avoids both a disposal cost and a new purchase — usually the largest saving available in a pallet operation.

Where recovery volumes need to appear in your reporting, we agree what is recorded and how before work starts.
